My first post for the Cookbook!

Hello anyone and everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Whether you know me or are just hanging around, I hope you find my experiences useful or at least entertaining. I mean if you can’t laugh at yourself, then what can you laugh at?

What am I cooking?

At the moment I work on 2 projects:

Text Messaging – This is my newest endeavor, less than a year old it is now the main focus of my life. I worked with mobile phone technologies for a few years before taking a break with real estate. Now since the mobile market is finally gaining some speed, I have shifted my efforts back to this wonderful space and I am now in it full throttle.

I am currently meeting with various respectable parties with this idea and we are pretty close to landing a deal. The hard part of having a new an innovative technology or way of doing things is that you really have to convince people that it is different. There are so many BUZZ words in the market that when you say SMS or CRM/CMS/MMS, people group you into certain categories and then try and tell you they are doing it already. You have to approach these meetings as if you are on the offense. Ask them what they do and how they do it, then tell them how your better.

Online Magazine – A friend of mine wanted to get involved in a new internet business a few years ago, but he was unsure where. We decided to partner up, him as the writer and me as the geek. Blogging was just beginning at this point so I suggested that he think of a good niche subject to tackle. 4 years later we are still running that same site, and with pretty big strides recently.

I am currently trying to find big name sponsors to allow us to expand and be more on a full time level. We are also moving into new types of content (video production) along with hiring more writers to bring in new and relative topics.
