Google Phone Review (Gphone) for tmobile vs Iphone
November 16th, 2009 at 8:14 pmThere are apps you can do unlimited texting with, but you would still have to pay for the data plan. Which is $30 monthly, unlimited texting is only $5 more a month…
The (G1) Google phone is for real Geeks, it's a multi-task maverick!
November 16th, 2009 at 8:12 pmTry the DG alert classic or DG away, just search DG.
The one problem with the market is that it is not policed enough, but that is the true open market place!
check out http://cyanogenmod.com if you are technical, I am running a custom ROM and already have the navigation you see on the DROID running on my G1.
Once you mod the phone, there are sooo many more things you can do!

I appreciate your kind words! I try as hard as I can to keep it real. Business is cut throat, but if you love it you love it!
I checked out your site, funny stuff! Maybe we could work together for some content on my magazine?

Google Phone Review (Gphone) for tmobile vs Iphone
April 1st, 2009 at 8:43 pm1. My bad, there is a full pop and imap client that you can use for the other accounts you want to keep separate. And there are other apps on the market that do similar or more.
The thing with the gphone is that it can do anything. Since it’s open source, the programmers are allowed to fully integrate the apps into the phone. Like use the standard reminders and phone functions.
Like when i take a picture. I don’t need to email it anywhere to get it on a photo sharing site. I can simple choose share and send it to flickr or twitpic without an email. It’s an option in the actual phone menus.
This is also where the android is far superior to the iphone. You cannot run apps in the background of the iphone. the G1 can and therefore applications can be fully integrated into the phones operating system.
It is already getting crazy on the app store. iphone just has a little head start…that’s it.

April 1st, 2009 at 4:46 pmMark,
1. Unfortunately not yet, I was hoping to be able to send from a different address since I use many accounts, but at this point the reply on your phone will come from the initial gmail account om the phone.
2.Yes, labels can be attached to any email as it comes in.
3. Well, since gmail has no folders, I am not sure about your question. Please clarify.

February 20th, 2009 at 11:36 pmHave you tried downloading the app SMS Popup? It lets you set a designated color for missed sms and also missed calls I believe. In addition you can set sms reminders, I don’t know if you set missed call reminders though.
But just the other day Google launched the paid app store so I’m sure there will be many cool and feature rich applications being developed at this point.

January 29th, 2009 at 12:18 amsure, you can use http://wordpressmobile.mobi/ if you have a blackberry or something similar and it will allow 1 picture upload per post. At the same time it makes your site downgrade nicely in all phone browsers. I have it on here so if you go to this website on your phone(not an iphone) you should see it in action. Users can comment too, no facebook integration though
Get used to rejection
January 21st, 2009 at 2:31 pmCarissa,
Thank you for your thoughts on the no child left behind example, but even with your suggested theory it still falls into not letting people fail in life. The discovery method you mention is where kids can fail, learn on their own, figure it out.
This banking system sounds like it does not allow them to fail, just fills them with info telling that’s the way it is. See what i mean?
On another note, I totally agree with your attitude on rejection.
Personal rejection is totally different than business as well. I agree people should be more honest, but relationships are touchy and sometimes we don’t even know why we reject others. Sometimes we reject someone in a personal relationship just because we feel something isn’t right, like it’s in our gut…

Unfortunately I have not been able to figure out how to add pictures yet. I am currently using the wp-phone plugin to manage my mobile site, it gives you a mobile admin interface.
Now you can post and moderate comments from it, but no pic upload feature yet.
I have an another plugin I use called wordpress mobile. If you put /?mobi at the end of the link you can see the pages on your gphone and it does have an upload feature that did work on my blackberry, however when I go to the page it says “upload disabled”.
So no luck so far but I will keep you posted. Someone has to be working on it.
I hope
Stand out with a cool Twitter Template!

Google Phone Review (Gphone) for tmobile vs Iphone
October 28th, 2008 at 12:21 pmYeah Sum Guy,
my friend has the iphone and we have been comparing them here and there. One great thing everyone misses is that Android will be on many phones soon, not just the flagship HTC now renamed the G1.
I downloaded a new app last night from whitepages.com that gives you caller ID like at home. These are the apps that will set android apart from the iphone.
The G1 is a great start to the open handset alliance and I am eager to see more.
The apple/MAC craze is just trendy for now. Americans need something packaged and labeled all bubbly for it to catch on. As time goes on we will all be more open and comfortable using complex devices and phones. Time will tell…
